YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the tenancy under which you occupy your mommy’s tummy shall end one (1) day after the date of the following INDUCED LABOR AND DELIVERY notice is served upon you. You are required to give up the comfort of your mommy’s womb and deliver up possession of the premises on or before that date.

Your Tia Seidy thinks so. Let’s see if she is right or not! One thing she is right about, though, is that you need to be here now!
Hello! Kid, you’re due today, yet you’re not here yet. Hurry it up.
Ok, it’s really more like impatiently waiting!
Up to this point your mom and I have kept it cool by outward appearances, but we’ve certainly been feeling exactly as your Tio Mauro and Tia Seidy have been. Only difference is, they couldn’t contain their eagerness and they let it be known!

So there you have it mijo, you have many people anxiously awaiting your arrival!
If there’s anything else we learned, it’s that your Tio Mauro really likes Christmas and that he is going to buy you some matching Ralph Lauren PJ’s so you can be his co-couch potato. Let’s just hope he doesn’t make you wait until Christmas.
Well chiquito, the countdown has officially begun! As of today you are now considered to be full term, so it means that you’ll pay us the visit we’ve been eagerly expecting any day now.
You are projected to arrive on the 24th of March, however your mom and I have a feeling it will be a lot sooner than that. One to two weeks from now is when we expect to meet you in person.
Your mom and I made the conscious decision to select names that weren’t just ‘cute.’ It is far too easy to get caught up in the excitement of having a baby and select a name that only works well while one is a child but doesn’t carry over into adulthood. So a name that would hold up well as an adult and that you’d be proud of, were the very simple guidelines we established.
Over the course of a few sessions exchanging first name options, we came up with a very short list. We quickly paired our choice of Aiden with Javier. We liked the way it sounded and flowed together, and your name was now cemented.
After deciding on your name, it occurred to me to do a search on your names to see what they each meant. Interestingly, I came across some surveys on babynamesworld.com
A sampling-
Would other parents recommend others name their baby Aiden:

What individuals named Aiden thought of their name:

Would other parents recommend others name their baby Javier:

What individuals named Javier thought of their name:

Not bad, huh?
Anyway, Aiden means Little Fire [cool] and Javier means New House [huh?].
As you might imagine, this is a difficult decision to make (although it came relatively easy to us) on behalf of another. It is one of the few life-long choices we’ll be making for you, so it is our hope that we did right by you and that once you look at them through your perspective, they’ll be ones you’re proud of. And if not, you’re stuck with them

There was a great turnout to the baby shower, but even with 50+ people RSVP’ing and more than forty actually showing up, I could not fathom that this many gifts would be imparted on your mom!
When the gifts arrived home, it literally took your Tio Mauro, Rosalyn and me several trips to haul them all in.
After your mom got home and got some time to take it all in and relax for a bit, I told her I wanted to take pictures of her surrounded with all the gifts.
Here’s the resulting aftermath…

And you know your dad had to get in on the fun!

The day finally arrived! Your mom was very excited for today and really looking forward to seeing everyone whom she is close with come together to celebrate with her your pending birth.
This celebration is referred to as a “shower” because the expectant mother, your mom, is expected to be “showered” with gifts. And boy did she ever!
